Questions About Our CSA

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you join a CSA, you sign up for a season of fresh vegetables grown by your local farm. Each week, you receive a share of what is ready in the field, which means your box changes with the season.

Each box includes a mix of fresh, seasonal vegetables grown on our family farm. The contents change throughout the season depending on what is ready to harvest, but may include favourites like carrots, lettuce, beans, tomatoes, beets, onions, squash, herbs, and more.

Yes. We grow our vegetables without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, using low-impact, hand-grown methods that reflect our commitment to healthy soil, healthy food, and careful farming.

We offer pickup locations in Edmonton and Whitecourt, with additional pickup options in communities such as Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, St. Albert, Barrhead, and Mayerthorpe based on interest and subscriber numbers.

Our summer CSA usually begins in early July and runs for 12 weeks. Exact start dates may shift slightly depending on weather and the pace of the growing season.

We offer share sizes for families, couples, and individuals. If you cook often and want plenty of fresh produce each week, a larger share may be the best fit. If you are shopping for one person or only cook a few times a week, a smaller share may be a better choice.

That’s completely okay. Joining a CSA is a lovely way to eat more seasonally and try new vegetables. Many members enjoy discovering new ingredients and building meals around what is fresh each week.

Yes. We also offer a fall CSA, with details released separately. Fall boxes usually include hearty, storage-friendly vegetables suited to cooler weather and cozy meals.
